For years the inventor, J. B. Abren, of San Francisco, has been working on the idea of eliminating the risks of fire in the air, and forged landings through an engine going out of action. The engine and fuel tank are so fitted in the fuselage that they enn be released In the air, leaving the plane as a slider.
