Riotous scenes occurred at Elizabethton, Penn, recently when thousands of textile workers went on strike, In the top ploture they are soon swarming over the wire fenco in defiance of the guards, and below is a picture of young girl workers staging a noisy demonstration outside the mill gates. Two companies of the National Guard wore call- od out to keep order.
Labour loaders went about with bodyguards during the textile etrike in Pennsylvania. Top picture shows the Union londor, Mr. J. 3. Penix with armed bodyguarda. Bo- low, women strikers are shown invading the mill promises.
