LETTER GOLF.

13

To-day'a puzzle is a disastrous one-RUIN to FIRE. For seven.

RUIN

FIRE

I-The idea of letter golf is to change one word to another and do it in par, a given, number of strokes. Thus to change COW to HEN, in three strokes, COW, HOW HEW HEN.

2---You can change only one Ietter at a time.

3-You must have a completo word, of common usage, for each jump. Slang words and abbrevia- tions don't count.

4-The order of letters cannot be changed.

Ona solution is printed on an- other page.
