Marshal Chiang Kai-shek has ordered General Ho Chien of Hunan Province, now a neutral in the war, to station troops' on the Hunan-Hupch borders to cut off the retreat of the defeated Han- kow forces.
Nanking's Naval Support. According to a Klukiang meas nge, Admiral Chen Chao-kuen of the Nanking Naval Department is lending four Chinese gunboats, in- cluding Lisu Cho Tung, Kong Tsing, and Hu Ying, and have ar- rived in the vicinity of Hankow and Wuchang ready to bombard the cities If necessary.
