GOAL FROM STRANGE FREE- KICK DECIDES.
K.O.S.B. SUPERIOR..
[By "Wanderer."]
Police aspirations to champion- ship honours were brought to an end yesterday afternoon by the K.O.S.B. who scored the only goal in a hard game: The Borderera were the better team from begin- ning to end, showing up well in all departments, and thoroughly deserved their win, though it must be said that the Police were unlucky to lose since the goal wing scored almost directly from a free-kick which should not have been given.
The incident occurred about two minutes before the interval. The ball wassant in Britain's direction about four feet from the ground. The Police half-back braced himself to take the half on his body in the normal way and it struck the pit of his stomach towards the left side. His arms were held slightly away from his sides as is usually done by o sensible player in order to allay any possible suggestion of hands, The Borderers supporters were amused and the Polica supporters amazed when the referee, Mr., Wills, blew his whistle.
The resultant goal was brilliant Reeves put in a terrific drive- from a spot forty yards out when
