The Lo's wore in good form, but were outplayed in nearly every department, succumbing in three straight sets, 6-2, 7-5, 6-3, They had no counter to the remarkable variety of shots introduced by Goldman, who was the outstanding player on the court.

All shots seemed to come the same to him, though he was seen at his best at the net, with perfect volleying and brilliant, smashes. Goldman and McEachran began well and led 3-1 in the first set. The Lo's pulled up but the all- important eighth game went to the European pair afler deuce had bean-called five times. The Lo's led 40-15 in this game, which would have made the score 4-4 had they won. Goldman and his part- ner took the next game, for set.

The Lo's won three games in a row after being 3-1 in arrears in the second set, but some brilliant shoti by Goldman and steady play. by McEachran turned the tables, and the not went to twelve games, Goldman winning.

Goldman and his partner, play- ed very confidently in the third set and won comfortably.
