The trial of the five mon and one woman charged in connexion, with line robbery in High Street was
continued at the Central Magio- tracy before Mr. E. W. Hamilton yesterday afternoon.
The depositions of Ho Yip chce, who gave ovidence the previous afternoon, were read over to her by the Magistrate, after which, the defendants were asked if they wished to question the witness.
The third defendant asked witness how she was able to say that he took part in the robbery. Witness replied that cho remembered him as the man who pointed the revolver at her and added that she'was not blind.
The sixth defendant naked a similar question, to which the witness replied' that she recognis ed him as a man who covered up She the lower. half of his face." said the upper, half; however, bore a peculiar forehead and eyebrow and on that alone she could pick out the defendant.
Chan Moon, a servant of the house, giving evidence, said that she was absent from the house from:February to 9, during which time she was staying with a man at the Ink Hoi,Tung boarding house. She was absent without her mistress permission. The first defendant was known to her. He owed her some money and bad been to see her at No. 78 High Street.
