INDIAN SCHOOL HOLD' THEIR ANNUAL MEET.

The eighth Annual School Sports of the Indian School were held on the LR.C. ground on Thursday, when nomo very interesting events woro run off. Some close finishes were scan and the smaller boys showed us, much keenness as the bigger ones.

Thero was a large gathering of friends and past pupil, and among those present were Mr. A. E. Wood, Director of Education, Khan Sahib Nawab Khan, A.S.P. Mr. A. R. Sutherland, former headmaster and now Inspector of English Schools, and Mrs. Sutherland who gave away the prizes.

At the conclusion of the sports, Mir. school, welcomed Mrs. Sutherland and Bishen Singh, the Headmaster of the Mr. Wood, both of whom, he said, had always shown great Interest in the school, le expressed his grati- tudo to the subscribers towards the prites, and thanked the Committee of the I.R.C. for the loan of the ground.

After the prizes had been given away, Mr. Sutherland, on behalf of Mm. Sutherland, thanked the Indian

School for their invitation.

Master J. Kitchell then presented Mrs. Sutherland

with

a bouquet of flowers called from the school garden, after which three cheers were given for Mrs. Sutherland, Mr. Wood, the masters and the school.
