The annual match between the
Hongkong C.C. and the Royal Navy was played yesterday, the fixture being a single day affair. The Club had matters entirely ' their own way and after knocking up 207 runs they dismissed. their opponents for the meagre total of 07 runs.
The Club opened with Peares and Hayward. The Navy's attack was not over difficult to play and runs came at a rather fast rate. Hayward lost his wicket with the sore at 29 his contribution being 21. Quick joined Pearce and both proceeded to make runs freely. The latter had taken his score to 36 before being caught, the second wicket falling with 76 runs on the board.
