Mrs, W. T. Southorn presided at the annual meeting of the Helena May Institute on Saturday, when the report for the year was sub- mitted. The report stated, in part.

Membership numbered 460, of which 144 were new members enrolled during the period under peview. Some members, Noval or Military, joined for short periods of three months and many of these continued their membership upon their return to the Colony. These have, however, not been included in the grand total.

During the year the secretary has rendered all the assistance possible to children's nurses and others desiring employment, by putting them in touch with suit able people.
