A. 3. P. Murphy explained that during the whole of the period when the Anking was in the charge of the pirates, the accused, Yuen Ping-kwan, remained in the saloon of the second class passengers. He would be out of the way and would not have been seen by Dr. Woo with the limited free dom allowed him by the pirates. The hearing was adjourned.
