At Union Church, Shanghai, recently Miss Alothes Joyce Whoolor, daughter of Mr. and Mro. James Whooler and Mr. John A. O. Law of the B. M. O. Public Works Department were married. The happy young couple are spending their honeymoon in Japan.

At the Gymkhana in Shanghai of the B. P. H C. recently there was a largo turn-out, tho day being beautiful. The events were followed with the koonest interest, asme providing much amuanment.

The weight of a ton and a half of gasoline, onough for its scheduled flight to Rome, was too much for Charles Levine's monoplans Columbia, and the trip onded on a Long Island golf course. Roger Q. Williams, the pilot, and Pietro Bonelll, the navigator, were uninjured in the heavy landing that crashed tho undercarriage and damaged a wing.
Two Chinese girl studente from the party which left Shang- hai a month or so ago for various universities in the United States plotured saying farewell to their companions at the station! at San Francisco when starting off on the journey aéross the States.
