VICAR CHASED BY BULL.
ANIMAL KEPT AT BAY FOR
20 MINUTES..
Vicar of Christ Church, Barnét, the Rev. S. Roberts, is having an exciting holiday at Rinsey, on the Cornish coast...
A few days ago, says 'a writer in a Homo paper, his wife fell from a rock into the sea, and, was rescued unconscious by the vicar, who jumped fully clad into the water" Now ho, has had what he describes as an "interesting ex- perience with a bull"
He was returning from a shoot- ing expedition, and was crossing a field, when a bull attacked him. Ho ran towards the gató, with the bull in close pursuit. Realising that the bull was winning the race, the vicar turned and aimed his gun at it. But he had spent his fast cartridge.
Ho had the presence of mind to throw the dead birds he was carry- ing at the bull. This distracted Ita attention, and enabled the vicar to jump a ditch, on the other sido of which a heap of stones wero 'lying.
For 20 minutes he kept the bull at bay with the stones, and at last drove It off, He then recovered his birds and returned home.
