HONEYMOON MURDER TRIAL. SPLIT ON FISCAL

QUESTION:

CASE AGAINST DR. MIAO MR. CHURCHILL & “JIX”

RESUMED.

DRAMATIC STORY OF ACCUSED'S ARREST IN BED.

CELL

INTERROGATION.

[SPECIAL TO “TELEGRAPH.”]

Dramatic evidence, causing a sensation in the crowded court-room at the Keswick Police Court, was given yesterday when Cumberland police officers revealed the result of their investigations into the sensational Chinese bride murder.

Dr. C. Y. Mino, who is charged with the murder of his wife, Mrs. Wai Sheung Yi Miao, was smiling as he was brought

into the dock.

It was stated that although prisoner, on returning alone to the boarding-house where the honeymoon couple were staying, expressed anxiety at his wife's continued absence, when a Police Inspector arrived Dr. Mino had gone to bed.

Police officers also found a key to the case in which the victim-kept her jewellery, hidden in the prisoner's bag.

The Police Court proceedings which were resumed yesterday continued all day and the trial is proceeding this morning.
