It is revented in the annual re- port of the Hongkong. General Chamber of Commerce that towards the latter part of last year, the Gen- eral Committee and the Shipping Sub Committee of the Chamber had a conference with Commander G. F. Hole, the Harbour Master, for the discussion of a proposal by the Government to establish a Harbour Board for Honkong, to act in an advisory. capacity.
After the Harbour Master had outlined the suggested scheme, there was a discussion on the sub- ject, during which various opinions were expressed.
