Closely associated with all these subjects is the hospital question, concerning which several interest. ing statements were made by His Excellency the Governor. Note- worthy amongst these were the references to the proposed new Government Civil Hospital. This project is to cost somewhere in the region of three million dollars. As to the necessity for a new hos pital, there can be no question, but we still doubt "the wisdom of erecting it near the existing in- stitution. From the standpoint of convenience of access, there is much to be said in favour of the
