Berlin, Feb. 10.
President Hindonburg has intor- vened to prevent the threatened politieal crisis arising out of the Government's School Bill
In a letter to Dr. Marx, the Chancellor, who threatened 10 withdraw from the Cabinet, the President reminds him that the Reichstag has many urgent tasks on hand, particularly in reference to the Budget.
He appeals to all to postpone the education dispute and to maintain a workable Government until all other problems have been settled.
There is little doubt that dhe Reichstag will respond to the appeal. A General Election is most probable in May.-Reuter.

A clever one, c'en so, great Sav.,
Who seemingly would have hle name replaced
Midst honour, rather than with those of scribes disgraced!
Think not he curses hapless Fates and Lucks
Which threaten him per mensem with three bucks?
Oh hapless Fates,
Oh hapless Lucks,
Why torture hapless sinners,
Whose hapless wit
Won't help a bli
To brighten Bulls and Inners?
We need the rates;
Though but three bucks,
Unless the jokes are winners.
Though this scribe's wit,
When 'nough of it,
Did brighten Bulls and Inners,
This parchment does perchance reveal a wail.
The varlet threatens to peruse the Maill
Which surely indicates that he
Admits he's due for purgatory.
Unless, great Sav., and this I breathe as warning,
He might repent, and write a Bull each morning!
