Police Arrive. They remained in the hold until four o'clock on the afternoon of January 26, when they heard the Hound of a motor boat. As the motor boat, which carried police officers, approached, the guards jumped into the sampan und made for the shore where they: landed and started to run up a hill. Witness himself went ashore later and saw one of the four men lying dead.
In reply to his Worship witness said he would say definitely that the second, third, and fourth pri- soners were not among the ori- ginal nasailants, but he recognised them as having operated with the robbers.
The fourth defendant, continued witness, arrived in the bout with the police. When the police went ashore the defendant boarded the junk and said to witness "Act as Heaven dictates and don't falsely accuse me.”
The first defendant stated that ke had been identified wrongly.
The case was adjourned.
