With the passing of the Films Bill, which is expected to receive the Royal Assent shortly, the British film industry is entering on a phase of renewed activity. Our photograph, which was takon at the Elstree studio of British National Pictures, Limited, shows the production of the Farmer's Wife in progress. The film has been adapted from the play of the same title by Mr. Edea Phillpotts. The studios at Elstree, which are said to compare favourably with the best and most up-to- dala at Hollywood, have accommodation for the production of four films simultaneously, and three are astusily being made at the present time.
