Members of the Victoria Dioce san Association have made an an- nual collection of toys for some Weihaiwei years for distribution among the various hospitals and schools in the Diccese., A similar collection is being made for Christmas this year, and as there are nineteen schools and institutions on the list large number of toys is needed. The toys are very inex- pensivo although they give the greatest pleasure to the poor child- ren who receive them.

In this connexion an appeal for funds to purchase toys has been, sent out by the Hon. Secretary, Mrs. E. D. C. Wolfe, 157 the Peak, who will be pleased to receive donations.

Next Sunday being V. D. A Sunday, children are asked to take offerings of, toys to the children's service, which will be held in the Cathedral at 10 a.m. Such gifts" will be included in the V. D.. A. Christmas parcels to schools, etc.
