VICTORIES FOR TAIKOO AND CRAIGENGOWER,

Two matches in the Spoy Royal Cup. The golf championship of the Shek

Country Club was played yester-competition were played off on Satur day, and resulted in Capt. Bloxham day, Taikoo and Craigengower win wing with an aggregato score of nig. 151. His play was of a high standard throughout the day despite the high wind that was blowing. In the morn- ing he went round in 78, and he improved upon this in the afternoon by five strokes. Ils 78 was the best round of the day.

D. G. Bruce was a good second, only three shots behind. His score of 154 3 was made up of rounds of 76 and 1 78. G. Murray, who won the cham- ship last year, was third with 165. 2n the morning he went round in 81 and he returned a 74 in the afternoon.

HONGKONG BANK HEAVILY DEFEATED.

Of the eleven svents, the tug-of-war, relay race, and the Highland Fing were open to service men and attract- ed good entries, Three teams were entered for the tug-of-war, 20th. Pack Battery, RA., 20th. Heavy Bat- tory, A., and the 2nd. Battalion, K.O.S.B. For the relay race the following service teams competed: H.M.S. Durban "A" and "B," teams 16th. Light Battery R.A., 2nd. Bat- talion K.Ö.S.B. "A" and "B" teams and. Battalion Sets Guards, and 1st. Battalion the Northamptonshire Regiment.

In the open events great keenness was shown, especially in the relay race, which was won by the K.O.S.B. "B" team, the "A" team of the same regiment taking second place.

The tug-of-war between the 20th. Pack Battery and the X:0.S.B. team. was exceptionally well contusted, the former proving too good for the latter after three pulls

Scotland and Wales Draw in a Thrilling Game.

The International soccer match be tween Wales and Scotland was play- ed here to-day before a crowd of 15,000, and resulted in a draw of two

goals each.

Scotland were two up in the first fifteen minutes of play. Gallacher, formerly of the Airdrieonians and Newcastle's centre forward,

now

scored with a shot which the goal- keeper was totally unable to stop. Hutton, the Blackburn right back, scored from a penalty given against Wales.

Just before the interval, Curtiss, the Cardiff inside left, acored Wales, first goal with a beautiful low shot.
