London, Oct. 14. In a quarter of an hour yesterday the British portion of the Brazilian loan amounting to £7,000,000 was oversubscribed more than five times.

The wedding took place at Union Church, Kowloon, yesterday after- noon of Miss Una Mand Falla, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Falla, and Mr. Cecil James King- dun, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. King- don.
The bride was charmingly attired in a dreas of white crepe-de-chine and carried a bouquet of white roses. The bridesmaid, Miss Catherine Barrage, wore a dress of blue georgette, and the flower girls, Miss Alice Dedear and Miss Patsy Chevalier, pink crepe-de-chine. The bridesmaid carried a bouquet of pink roses and the flower girls baskets of the same flower.
The bride was given away by her father and Mr. J. II. E. Edwards officiated as best man. The cere- mony was performed by the Rev. J. Kirk Maconachie, Mr. Andrews being at the organ. Afterwards a reception was held at 526 Nathan Road. The happy couple will leave by the ss. Malwa for a honeymoon in London, the bride's going-away dress being of white net with grey wrap.
