POLICE STATION : INVADED.

An assault of a Chinese boy by two Japanese marines last Satur- day night resulted in the arrest of the marines by Chinese police constables, an invasion of the Hongkow Police Station by a crowd of angry fellow marines, the gathering of an ugly crowd of Chinese and Japanese on the out- side of the station, and an at- tempted assault on a Chinese con- stable by a marine within the station itself.
