After the scalp has been dried a vigorous circulation of the blood may be induced by rubbing with the enda of the fingers, making certain that the nails do not scratch the scalp.
If the scalp tends to be dry, a small amount of pure olive oil may be rubbed fu, parting the hair and rubbing the oil into the scalp.

PAINTING THE FORTH BRIDGE,

The "steeple-jack painters," as they are called, are painting the Forth Bridge, which spans the Firth of Forth.
They always are.
It takes three years to paint the bridge from end to end,” and when the job has been completed they begin all over again.
The bridge, which cost £2,500,- 000 to build, extends for a mile over the estuary of the River Forth, but covers with its ap proaches a total length of four miles. It is made almost entirely of steel.
