Rapid City, Aug. 0. President Coolidge informed the usual Press gathering that he will not call the Disarmament Con- ference in 1929 because he intends March 4 in that

to retire On year.

This has clarified the meaning of his recent announcement re- garding his intended retirement.

The President thinks that the failure of the Geneva conference ought not to influence the peace of the world or the friendly relations between America, Great Britain, and Japan as the position has not been altered from that obtaining before the conference at Geneva.

"THE COMING OF AMOS."

FIRST RATE PICTURE AT THE QUEEN'S.

There were large attendances at the Queen's Theatre yesterday to see "The Coming of Amos," a picture that can be described as dramatically humourous, and one that is sure to make a strong ap- peal. While the story itself is not unusual yet it is told with charm and interest.

It is a production of Cecil B. de Mille, taken from the famous novel of the same name by William J. Locke. Featured in the prin cipal parts are Rod La Rocque, Jetta Goudal, Noah Beery, and Trixie Friganza.
