Woolley, the honorary secretary of the Society for Pay- chical Research, who was charge of the recent mass tele- pathy experiment by wireless, in Britain, recently read a report on the results at a meeting, held un- der the British Medical Associa tion. Tavistock-square. It will be remembered that agents of the so ciety, locked in a room in Tavi stock-square, concentrated on five objects in turn, while the attention of wireless listeners was directed to them by Sir Oliver Lodge from the London studio. About 25,000 letters were received from listen- era giving their impressions of the

Mlle de la Chaume won the British Championship at New castle, Co. Down (Ireland) on May 19th, by defeating Miss Dorothy Pearson in the 36-holes final by five up and four to play.
It was a girls' final, for both Mic. de la Chaume and Miss Pearson are still in their teens,
They met in the final of the girls championship three years ago, when the victory also went to France. Yesterday Mile, de la Chaume gained a lead of five holes during the first round.
Miss Pearson made a great effort in the afternoon, and won four of the first seven holes, so that at the eighth she was only one down.
Then disaster overtook her.
She lost the next four holes in DEMPSEY V. SHARKEY. succession, and the match finish-i ed on the 14th green.
Mlle, de la Chaume is a worthy champion. She has grace of style! and the ideal golfing temperament. There are many longer drivers among her rivals, but none who plays the ball more accurately or has a greater enpacity for recovery From difficulties-none, Indeed. who is more consistent in all phases of the game.
