ILOILO RAILWAY EXTENSION.

fi

LINE ACROSS RIVER TO DOCKS.

The Philippine Railway Com- pany is contemplating the con- struction of two railroad projects in Hollo, according to Mr. R. R. Hancock president of the bbard of directors, of the company...ta The first project contemplated is the extension of the railroad line into Iloilo, city. At present the railroad runs only to the edge of the city, a river separating Iloilo from the railroad terminus. It is planned to extend the track across the river and along the waterfront to the customs bullding.

Mr. Hancock said that the ox- tension will greatly aid the agri- cultural interest of the island. Farmers will be able to ship their produce directly to the waterfront, whereas they are now forced to use separate transports! tion from the station to the dock. Also it would provide railway facilities. for the bodega district. Petition Signed.
