The Reception.

In proposing the toast of the bride and bridegroom Mr. R. E. Lindeell said that he felt it a very great honour to have been invited, as an old friend of the family to propose the toast. Mr. Punch had once given advice to those about to be married, in the one word, "Don't:" but though he was a very crabbed old man, he (the speaker) did not believe Mr. Punch would have given that advice if he had met yesterday's happy couple.

Continuing, Mr. Lindsell said that he had known Mr. Lo firstly as a commercial magnate, secondly as a tennis player, although it was rumoured that he was recently bea- ten in three straight sets by his sister. (Laughter),and thirdly be cause he was a devotee to games of skill at the card table in which he helped his brothers to lighten the pockets of others not excepting his father (Laughter),

"In short," continued Mr. R. E. Lindsell, he is a thorough sports man and the best of good fellows," (Applause).

It was stated that the Kowloon Motor Bus Company was now run ning n service from the Star Ferry to Kowloon City via Prince Ed Ward Road to suit the convenience of Kowloon Tong residents. While appreciating this now departure, the Committtoo considered that the. arrangements made were not so good. as they might be.

It was pointed out that busca leaving the Star Ferry for Kowloon Tong were often filled by passengers dostined for intermediate points, with the result that Kowloon Tong residents could not be accommodati ed.
