An excellent concert, well at- tonded by Servicemen, was given at the Hongkong Naval and Mill- tary Y.M.CA. Peking Road, Kow- loon, last night under the auspices of the Y.M.C.A. Entertainment Committco.
The band of the 1st Cameron- iana (Scottish Rifles) gave two selections, "The Cameronlans, and "Rose Marie" and a xylophone aolo, "Sparks" was played by Bandsman A. Lovick.
Extreme variety characterised that part of the programme con- tributed by "The J-Fans," the com- pany consisting of V. Capell, M. Gittins, A. Steel, E. Roso, I. Borry, P. Capell, P. Gittins, E. Woolley, R. Wong, N. Kelly, C.D. Lake, A.W. Ramsey, G. Bond, I. Schierhorst, F.P. Lenfesty, G. Arnold, D. Kolly and R. Woolley.
Three further selections, "WN- liam Tell", "In the Night," and "Harry Lauder's Songs" played by the Cameronian's band con- cluded an entertainment which was thoroughly appreciated by the large number of Servicemon pre- sont.
The proceeds of the football match played at Sookunpao during the week-end between teams rei presenting Hongkong and the Army amounted to $1,277.70. This sum has been forwarded to the M.C.L. The winning ticket for the Ruttonjee $20 prize was No. 611. The raffle for the football realised $160, the winning ticket being No. 741.
