UPRISING IN BUDAPEST RECALLED.
Budapest, April 12. The trial has opened in the ox- traordinary
court of Zoltan Szanto, the former Commanist commissar who fled abroad after the collapse of the dictatorship of Bela Kun in 1919, and subso- quently returned and lived at Budapest under an assumed name, and Stefan Vari, leader of the Socialist extreme left, and nine- teen others.
The public prosecutor declared that the Third International was aiming to overthrow western civilisation by force of arms. He alleged that the accused at the in-. stigation of Moscow had under- taken to organise a secret Com- munist party-in Hungary, on the well-known "cell" system Reuter.
