BOVRIL LIMITED.
EVER-GROWING POPULARITY,
Presiding at the 30th annual general meeting of Bovril Limited, held 24th February, at River Plate House, Finsbury Circus, London, E.C, the Chairman, Sir George Lawson-Johnston, and that the associations, surrounding the ownership of a proprietary articie were very important, and hi thought it would be difficult to find any articles which stood better than Bovril in this respect. The public not only valued Bovril for what it is, but had a special! regard for it because the company did not raise their prices during the War, and therefore earned no excess profits.
In other words,
they were not war profiteers.

Now that the Interport with Shanghai is definitely off, and that in a week or two summer sports will be in full swing, this will be the last appearance of my notes for the season.
In last Wednesday's issue, I summed up the records of the five teams in the Senior Division that have completed their fixtures, and will now turn my attention to the Junior League.
The full list of results follow: Open Singles: J. W. Lennard beat Yew Man-tsun, 0-1, 3-0, 6-2, 6-4.

Varsity 2nd XI started their season in an unconvincing manner, and at the end of January, after having played six matches, had only three wins to their credit.
Towards the end, they brought off two victories and unexportedly jumped to the runners-up berth.
The Police R.C., on the whole, went through quile a successful senson, although it was generally expected that they would finish nearer the top than the third posi- occupying. tion they are now Lacey and Alexander, quite the best pair of bowlers in the Junior Lengue, bore the brunt of their attack, the latter being also a de- pendable run-gelter.
'The Royal Army Ordnance Corpa can well feel satisfied with their record of five wins and an aggropate of 15 points. They are now in the fourth position but there is a chance of their being ousted by the Recreio, who are two points behind, with a matchin hand.
