RISE AGAINST LABOUR TYRANNY.

CLASHES AT KIUKIANG.

on

Writing from Klukiang March 29, the North China Daily News correspondent reports:

During the past ten days crop after crop of now posters has ap- peared on the walls of the Conces- sion. These posters with fine im- and partiality attack. British Japanese, Chang Toung-chang and Chang Tso-lin. At night they disappear and it is supposed the police, afraid to act in the day time, creep round after dark and. remove them. But each new morn- ing produces a fresh crop. The posters are of all colours, red, pink, green, yellow, blue and white so that from the river the sedate Klakiang Bund assumes a gay and gaudy, if perhaps somewhat drunken, appearance.

In the native town the Labour Unions have fallen out amongst themselves, The most powerful local union is the General Labour Union to which all the coolie or ganizations are affiliated.

More Trouble Likely, The farmers are now hanging round Kickiang and waiting for an opportunity to come in and finish off what is left of the Labour Union. It seems cerlain there will be more trouble and, as the farmers can be countel by the tens of thousands, the probability torious. Similar, riots have taken place in Nanchang with similar results.
