Where Shots Fell,
The first shot struck the cast wall of 689 Rue Ratard at 6.15 o'clock. The shot struck the wall about 18 inches above" the ground and ricocheted off to the south wall of an extension to the house, set at right angle, embedding itself at the base of the wall.
The first wall; constructed of ce- ment, was punctured about six inclics deep. The other hole left by the shot was about 8 inches deep and 6 inches wide. Several tables and chairs left on the ver andah, near where the shot landed were smashed to bits by the cart- ridge in transit.
