SATURDAY'S CRICKET.

SAYER'S CENTURY. .

There were only two League matches played on Saturday, one in the first and one in the second division. The former was be- tween the Civil Servico C. C. and the Royal Navy, and its result will have a very important bearing on the League Championship. Both toams were well in the running. but as no dofinite decision was come to Kowloon has now a big advantage, which they will prob. ably retain to the end.

DIVISION I.

Civil Servico C.C. Royal Navy. This match was played

on the Civil Service. C.C. ground at Happy Valley al resulted in a draw. It was a heavy scoring game, the home team making 246 for seven wickets before declaring and the visitors 101 far

Sayor and Fincher engaged in a very profitable partnership for Civli Service, the former scoring a bril liant century and Fincher getting 68 not out. Sayer batted very attrac- tively, hitting hard all round the wicket and scoring at a very fast paco. In 118 included twenty-five fours.

The second round of the junior championship was played over the old course at Fanling yesterday. Curious- lyonough all four matches resulted in victories of one up, the details being as follows:

Governor's Shield Final. The final of the Governor's Shield, played over the old course at Fan- ling on Saturday, produced a very n remarkable keen struggle and Enish, the RA.M.C. par eventually beating Messrs. Johnston, Stokes and Master by three up and one to play.

SERVICE BOATS.

An interesting ruce for Service boats was sailed on Saturday over course to Channel Rocks (P), Kow- loon Rock (P) and Cust Rock Buoy (P), the finish being on a line West: to East.

There were nine starters, the Hermes galley coming in first and the Despatch galley second, but on corrected time the winner was the Titania cutter, which was very well sailed by Commander Ratsey.
