One issible, solution of the Hankow deadlock is that the Shanghai Defence Force should not, for the moment, proceed further than Hongkong. The Suffolks have already arrived here and the First Cruiser Squadron, now on its way to Hongkong from Singapore, is to await further orders on arriving here.
