Strange Proposal İn New South Wales..."
A curious suggestion is being considered by the municipal and rural authorities of New South Wales, with a view to discourag- ing dangerous motor driving. The proposal is to erect a "death" sign at every spot on the public highways, where a motor fatality has occurred. These signs would unfortunately appear at frequent intervals, and it is believed that they would have a restraining effect upon reckless motorists.
One local authority has already oxpressed willingness to eract Buch signs, and if the scheme is generally approved, the next stop is likely to be an open competi- tion for the best design.
