The Interport Trial was again followed with great interest. Comi- pared to the previous, weeks, a fairly large crowd was present, in spite of counter-attractions. The game was more or less, to try out aur batsmen against some of the best bowlers available, and, on a perfect wicket, the bat triumphed over the bull. Of the three new players who appeared for the first time, Capt. Dobble, I think, is the only ono who can claim an inclusion in the Hongkong team. Going in at the fall of the third wicket, ho carried his but for a chanceless score of 63 runs and at a time when rins were badly needad.
