FLYING IN STORM ZONE—The U. S. A. army semi- rigid dirigible, TC-5, here photographed over the Besqui grounds at Philadelphia, which recently completed a flight from Norfolk, U.S. A. to Scott Field, Belleville. It was on such a cross-country hop just one year ago that the Shenandoah was lost, and because of storms in the TC-5's path it was feared that harm might befall her.

TEXTILE WORKERS STRIKE-Striking textile workers here' are, shown at the barbed wire barricade erected by state troopers at Manville, U. S. A. It is stated that the workers attempted to set fire to the mills. Eight persons were wounded in a street fight between troopers and a crowd of 1800 strikers. On the ground in front of the trooper may be seen stones hurled during the combat.
HURRICANE DAMAGE-A hurricane which swept the "sugar bowl" parishes of Louisiana caused damage estimated at nearly $50,000,000 in the towns of Thobodaux, Morgan City, Houme, Schreiver, Radeland and others. In the picture above is shown the wreckage of a Catholic church in Houma, where the wind ripped off the steople. Sebnos like this are characteristic over an area 185 miles long and 50 wide. Crops were destroyed throughout the district.
