MEMORIAL FLAGS FROM
AUSTRALIA.
Rugby, Oct. 18.
Mr. Stanley Bruce, the Prime Minister of Australia, last night presented two Australian ensigna to the memorial Chapel of the Twenty-ninth Division of the British Expeditionary Force, at Eltham.
Mr. Bruce, who served in the British Army during the war, was An officer in the Twenty-ninth Division, and won the Military Cross in Gallipoli, and the flags which he presented on böhalf of Australia were given to mark the comradeship in arms of the Aus-. tralian and Now Zealand forces with those of the Mother Country.
After the dedication Mr. Bruco in a brief speech, referred to tha Intense admiration in which Aus- tralians hold the Twenty-ninth Division, and to the imperishable deeds on the heights of Gallipoli in which the troops of both countries were associated.- British Wireless.

Rugby, Oct. 18. The Prime Minister of the Do- minions and representatives of India and the Colonies now assembled in London for the Con- ference have accepted Mr. Baid, win's invitation to accompany him to Westminster Alibey to-morrow morning, when the Prince of Wales wil unveil a tablet to the memory of one million dead of the British Empiru, who fell in the Great, War.
The ceremony is regarded as a particularly tting prelude to the opening, of the Conference. The following is the inscription on the tablet:
"To the glory of God and to the memory of one million of the Eri- tish. Empire who fell in the Great War, 1914-1918.
