"I dle as a Christian, thanking all those who have been good to me, and pardoning those who have done me evil and have slandered me so greatly.
These words opened the will, published yesterday, of H.S.H. Mario Alice Heine, Dowager. Frincess of Monaco, of Monaco and of the Hotel Crillon, Paris, a native of New Orleans, U. 5: A., who died in Paris on December 22 last, age 67 years, widow firstly of Armand Due de Richelieu, and secondly of H.S.H. Prince Albert 1. of Monaco. "
She left estate valued for the purposes of the English grant at £36,331 gross, with net personalty £30,239. This does not include the value of property outside the United Kingdom.

She expressed a wish to be in- terred at the place where she might die, and with all possible simplicity. "as I desire that the money which would have been spent in giving me a grand funeral should be distributed among the poor of the Commune of Chere."
She also desired the arteries to he cut to make certain that she was dead, and gave the Instruc- tion: "Let no monument be placed on my tomb, but a simple stone and my name."

She also made gifts to servants, and directed that her heir should. continue pensions to old servants, governesses, and any servants of over ten years. She left 2400 for distribution among the staff of Claridge's Hotel in the event of her death taking place in London. As stated, she died in Paris.
Subject to the above and many; other bequests, she left there sidue of her property to her son, the Due de Richolion.
