A FEW GENTLE HEMINDERS.
The following, accompanied by the comment that it was probably written out as a jest, but it is typical of the spirit in which some people attend meetings, has found its way into our office:
How to Kill Any Organisation. Don't come to the meetings. But if you do come, come late. If the weather doesn't suit you, don't think of coming,
If you do attend a meeting, find fault with the work of the' officers and other members.
Never accept an office, as it is easier to criticise than to do things.
Nevertheless, get sore if you are not appointed on a committee; but if you are, do not attend committee meetings.
If asked by the chairman to give your opinion regarding some im- portant matter, tell him you have nothing to say. After the meeting tell everybody how things ought to be done.
Do nothing more than is abso- lutely necessary, but when other members roll up their sleeves and unselfishly use their ability to help matters along, howl that the or ganisation is run by a clique.
