Any wine taster willing, to sample a mystery bottle of port 200 years old may have the chance of a lifetime says the Daily Chronicle by presenting himself at the offices of Messrs. Leopold Farmer and Sons, Gresham-street, E.C.
There are only two conditions sitpulated:
First, the taster must undertake to leave some in the bottle;
Secondly, he tastes at his own risk.
This amazing bottle of wine is a mere dwarf, scarcely two inches high, and was, found recently by Mr. Harold Farmer during ex- cavations under the fran's offices, some 30 feet below pavement level. Mr. Farmer is a member of the London and, Middlesex Archæolog!. cal Society, and as such kept an interested eye on the excavations from the beginning.
"I did a bit of digging on my own when the workmen were not there," Mr. Farmer told a Daily Chronicle representative.
