ARMS POSSESSION.
TWO RETURNED EMIGRANTS FINED.
Two Chinese passengers arriving in the Colony on Saturday morning by the President, Jackson were inter charged before Mr. JH. B. Nibill at the Kowloon" Magistracy with being in unlawful possession of arms and ammunition without a permit from the Captain Superintendent of Polico,
Chan Kin (60), a passenger from the United Statos, was sharged with possession of one revolver and 179. rounds of ammunition, and in plead- ing guilty to possession stated that ho wae not cogniant with the Jawa of Hongkong Ho bad not boon to China for the fast eleven years.
He was fired $75.
The second passenger returned a similar plea on a charge of unlawful possession of one revolver pad 100 rounds of ammunition. He stated dint ho had come from Canada, whoro he bad roalded for 15 years. A fog of 875 was also imposed in this case. The arms and, ammuni- tion in both instances were ordered. to be confiaopted
