Gunner Mohammed Khan, of the Royal Artillery, was charged bofore Mr. J. H. B. Nihill, at the Kowloon Magistracy this morning, with damaging a tree in Nathan Road and with assaulting Sergeant Jessop in the execution of his duty.

Describing the incident, Ser- geant Jessop said that at 7.15 p.m. yesterday he was returning to Trom the Water Police Station.
