CLEVER SENCIO DIES AFTER FIGHT.
PROMISING FILIPINO FLYWEIGHT COLLAPSES,
Within a few months of the death of Pancho Villa, thé Filipino fly weight champion of the world, comes news that Clever Benclo, the Filipino boy, who left Manila for the United States at the end of Valy last year and since then had built for himself a considerable re- putation, has died after a fight with a bantamweight.
On Monday night last Clever Sencio fought Bud. Taylor at Mil- waukee, Wisconsin, and after hold- ing his man for nine rounda was badly knocked about in the tenth. A later message sent out by the United Press states that Clever Senico collapsed following his fight with Taylor. He died on the way to hospital. The hospital author- itles refused to issue a statement pending action by the authorities. "In the Phillipines, Señcio was re- garded as a worthy successor to Pancho Villa and it was expected of him that he would become au- other Filipino World's Champion.
