letter, written by the notorious labour "agitatör, Ll Lih-san, who is now alleged to be in Honan.. Tan Tzo-wan, another well-known agitator, presided..

The letter, which contains a violent attack on the Russians at. Canton, declared that the Com- munists in Canton were suppressed because of the illegal acts which they had committed at the instiga-: tion of the Russiana. This had caused an international complica- tion.

The letter stated further that the. labour movement had now pro- gressed to a stage where the unions could exist without outside help and the leaders, accordingly, had every- thing to gain and nothing to lose by refusing to allow the Communists to dominate their policies.

All Communists, however, had the common uim of destroying capital- ism and imperialism, and the shock which would be occasioned by the Immediate, complete severance of relationship with the Russian might prove prejudicul to the labourers. He, "therefore, urged that the two factions should not come to the" breaking point at present.

L' Lin-san, in his letter, further, urged that a monument in memory of Liu Hawa, a notorious agitator who was recently executed secretly by the Chinese authorities, should be erected.-N. C. D. News.
