DISCOVERIES AT ABYDOS.-Recent work of the Egypt Exploration Society at Abydos, deur Baliane, Upper Egypt, has revealed that the' romains known as the Osirvion, situated hehind the Temple of Seti 1, are actually those of a tomb-chamber, the cenotaph of Seti 1.

Recording the Solar Eclipse.-Some remarkable cameras were employed hy the astron murs who watched the resent solar eclipse from stations at " Bencooler, in South Sumatra.
