Reports were made at the Har- Tour Office yesterday" afternoon. by the master of the ferry launch Man On and the mistress of a har bour passenger boat with refer ence to a collision which occurred in the Southern Fairway shortly after mid-day. "
The master of the ferry launch states that he was proceeding from Hongkong to Shamsuipo and when in the Southern Fairway, at about 60 yards ho sighted a sampah bearing down on him with a fair wind. He altered course und sounded his whistle, but the sampan altered 'too. A second al- teration was also countered. A collision resulted and the campán overturned, throwing the crew of seven into the water. He sound- ed four blasts and with the assis- tance of cther boats all hands were picked up.
The sampan mistress statos that she was making alterations in the ordinary navigation of the

The case in which three, females Jare charged with conspiring to ne- cuse two forest, guards of having Assaulted them was continued be- Tore Mr. E. W. Hamilton at the Kowloon Magistracy yesterday when, the prosecution having on- cluded, the defence was called. In the same case five men were be- fore the Magistracy on a charge of committing a common assault on the forest guards.
The case for the Crown was con- ducted by Mr. T. S. Whyte-Smith and Mr. J. M. Remedios appeared for the male defendants.
The entire afternoon was de. voted to the evidence of one of the women, who during the course of ter testimony alleged that she was assaulted by one of the guards, whilst the other guard was said to have assaulted another of the

Goins' car left the mountain road near El Dorado, and overturned, and he was picked up lifeless.
