A public motor boat was sunk and another was considerably damaged, as the result of a col- lision with the Star Ferry boat Northern Star while the latter was attempting to get alongside the wharf or the Kowloon side and is now engaged in drawing up yesterday morning.
The incident happened about 845 and was witnessed by a big crowd who were waiting to cross. The ferry collided with the boats between the wharf and the public pier with such force that one al- most immedately sank whilst the other was considerably damaged.
Fortunately no lives were lost.
