Wu Tong, A furniture shop salesman, made another appear- ance before Mr. R. E. Lindsell at the Central Magistracy yesterday. On Monday he was charged with obtaining money by fraud, and it was stated that he was left in charge of the Hop Wo furniture shop, and when the manager rẻ- turned, found that it had been turned into a tea house.

Yesterday, Mr. L. R. Andrews, prosecuting, said that as the case stood at present the defendant, was charged with embezzling $672.

Since the case was called last time he had examined the books and questioned the complainant further. The defendant had made practically no entries in the book, and it was difficult to get evidence to substantiate the charge. He
